About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Behavioural Support Therapist passionate about providing transformative care for individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on delivering evidence-based behavioral support and therapy tailored to the needs of children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Position Overview
This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility with clinic, community, home-based, and telehealth services. Full-time and part-time positions are available with a competitive remuneration package, ranging from $105,000 to $130,000 + super, along with professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and wellness benefits.

Key Responsibilities
The Behavioural Support Therapist will:
  • Assess clients' behavioral needs and develop personalized support plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Provide direct therapy to clients in diverse settings, including clinic, home, and telehealth.
  • Educate and empower families, carers, and support staff on effective behavioral strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and holistic care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to build capacity and ensure high standards of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records in compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to the development and review of programs and services, ensuring they align with client needs and NDIS requirements.
About You
This role is ideal for a professional with the following qualifications and attributes:
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with intellectual disabilities or ASD.
  • Certification in Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is highly desirable.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong knowledge of behavior support principles and practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
  • Adaptability to tailor support approaches to meet the unique needs of clients.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • NDIS Worker Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
