Enrolled Nurse and Mothercraft Nurse
Enrolled Nurse (aka EN) and Mothercraft Nurse give nursing care to patients in hospitals and other health care facilities and in the community. They also help parents in caring for newborn infants under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Midwife. Common duties include:
- evaluate, plan, and roll-out nursing care for patients according to nursing practice standard
- give medications, and monitor responses to treatments and care plans
- provide care for infants like bathing, feeding, changing and settling them
- give advice and training on infant care to parents of newborn infants
- help Registered Nurses and other team members to coordinate and evaluate care provided
