evaluate patients' mental and physical condition and history to determine the nature and extent of mental, emotional and behavioural disorders

order laboratory tests, imaging, neuropsychological tests and other diagnostic procedures

examine test results to determine the appropriate treatment program

prescribe medication, psychotherapy, and other physical treatments and rehabilitation programs
Minimum requirements for psychiatrist include bachelor’s degree, relevant work experience, and registration.
