Pharmacist prescribes the safe and quality use of medicines, and ensure health outcomes by contributing to the selection, prescription, monitor and evaluation of medical therapy. They also research, test and develop pharmaceuticals products. Common duties include:

conduct research to develop and improve pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and related chemical products

consult with Chemists, Engineering Professionals and other professionals about manufacturing techniques and ingredients

test and analyze drugs to determine their identity, purity and strength as per specified standards

develop standards for drugs used in pharmaceuticals

prepare or oversee the preparation and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets and other medications to fill prescriptions

review and monitor the medicine therapy of individual patients, and assessing the effectiveness of the total medicine therapy

advise prescribers on drug incompatibility and contra-indications
Pharmacists work in most parts of Australia. They work primarily in Retail Trade; Healthcare and Social Assistance; and Manufacturing industries. In recent years, Pharmacists have grown strongly and is expected to continue in the future.
This occupation is predicted to enjoy massive growth in the next five years: from 25,500 in 2018 to 27,400 by 2023 or around 13,000 job openings in 5 years.
Minimum requirements for Pharmacists include bachelor’s degree, relevant work experience, and registration.
