Nurse Practitioner deliver extensive and advanced nursing care to patients, (order diagnostic tests, perform diagnosis and health examinations, prescribe patient care management, therapies and medicines), with authorization from relevant nursing legislation, and referral to specialist Medical Practitioners and other Health Professionals in health, welfare and community settings. (Disability and Rehabilitation) provide nursing care to patients recovering from illness and injury and help patients with disabilities to live more independently.
Most of the nurse practitioner are employed in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries. Minimum requirements for nurse practitioner include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration.
